How do I regulate my period with out birth control?!


Question: All so don't suggest lower my stress. I am just a stress full person. I get it every couple of months. My last one was in March, and I can go for about 5-6 months with out it. I would not mind so much if isn’t if I bloat up so big.

actually.. this happens to many teens/young adults because your body is still developing and there are a great chance that your period might not be as normal as it should be, nothing to worry about as for now, don't go on birth control or anything, leave it the way it is because it is totally normal. if the situation doesn't change after you turned at least 21 years old, then visit a doctor.

you can't i had the same problem and about 6 months ago i was normal again There is no way to regulate your period without birth control. The only other solution is a hysterectomy.

Talk to your OBGYN but there is no real way to manipulate your hormones without medication, it is what it is. If you know you are a stressed person you will have to accept that unless you find a form of meditation then that will probably cause the irregular cycles. Definitely talk to your dr.

This could be a nutritional thing -- if you have too little body fat, your periods can get all messed up. Also, if you exercise a lot, they can be disrupted.

Maybe see a doctor - you could have a hormonal imbalance or something else that needs medical attention.


that may be normal for you. it depends on the person. Go see your gyno and see what they say.. and as far as you just being a stressful person, well thats a load of crap. You can only be as stressed as you allow yourself to be. You can't just be stressful by nature. thats impossible. you, my friend, need to relax I do not want to know to munch about this subject but I do know that if you hang around girls you all start to have it at the same time. I do not know why that happens. that would be a good question huh?


it is your hormones that control your menstrual cycle.it is hard to control physically without some sort of chemical signal to start your cycle.

I have gone from 6-8 week periods all my life to 28-29 day periods for the past 1.5 years.

I had 6-8 week periods for years and years and chalked it up as "normal" until I got a Bartholin Gland's cyst that became infected. Trust me, you don't want to know what that is, but it is connected to the reproductive system.

Anyway, as a result, I decided to try the alternative therapy of reflexology and acupuncture administered by a Doctor of Chinese Medicine. The reflexology worked. Basically, the theory is that your body is composed of energy meridians with the headquarters of these meridians being in your feet. Therefore, points on your feet correspond to parts of your body. Stimulating the reflexology points causes blood and energy flow to the corresponding body part, bringing nutrients and oxygen while removing toxins. If there is a blockage in a part of your body, the point on your foot will be tender, even painful to touch.

The reflexology helped me with my Bartholin Gland issue. In fact, when I saw a gynecologist after having reflexology/acupuncture treatment for a month, they could find no trace of scarring or any abnormality resulting from the cyst. They refused to believe that it was the reflexology that cured me and instead suggested I had been misdiagnosed and never had the cyst infection. But trust me, if they had seen me a month earlier, they wouldn't have said that.

Anyway, I continued with the treatments and actually studied reflexology from the Chinese doctor. Within six months of applying reflexology to myself, my periods WERE REGULAR. As long as I keep doing reflexology, I have 28-29 day periods and it's been like this for 1.5 years now. The only time I missed one was when I went through alot of stress and had gotten lazy on doing reflexology on myself.

Anyway, here are the points corresponding to your reproductive system. The womb points are the inside of your foot. To find it, start from the ankle. It's the indentation just diagonally underneath your ankle, about a nickel to quarter size in diameter. Use your knuckle or finger tips to rub it up and down (in the direction from the heel towards your calf). Do this for 1-2 minutes at a time, up to 10-15 minutes a day, for each foot.

The ovary points are on the same indent, but on the outside of your foot. Do the same thing for these points.

It is very likely that these points will be sensitive to your touch. If you press harder, that will help speed healing, but it can be painful. Therefore, use common sense as to how much pressure to apply.

Also, I'd strongly recommend seeing a doctor of Chinese medicine or acupuncturist. This is something traditiional Chinese medicine can help. You cn not regulate your period with out birth contril from a person with experience since I am 53 years old.
