I am a massage therapist in Texas and the fair market price to go to someone's office is $40-$60. I would think that traveling there would qualify for an extra $20.00 travel time there for each therapist. A group price might be:
three hours each at $50.00=150.00 + $20.00=170.00 each therapist.
That includes a $30.00 discount $10.00 per hour for a group massage.
I attended one and the massue only did particular body part i.e. back and neck and charged that way instead of by the hour. This allowed a managable price most people were willing to pay and allowed her to get many people within a certain time limit.
i think $1/minute is pretty typical. too expensive for me. at school, we can get massages for $15/30min or $30/hr. you are traveling..but also doing 7-10, so maybe a discount for number. how about $40-$50? if i know i got a discount, i always tip more.
That sounds so much fun!!! Since they are many, it would be good to do a package thingy between 30 and 40 dollars for one hour or 20 dollars for 1/2. Fair, no? Plus add the travelling fee.
that would be about 4-5 massages for each of you, so I would give her maybe 3 for the price of 4? I'm a massage therapist too.
Or if you charge 60, and you're doing 4 you could do it for an even $200. That way you're still making money off of each one and it sounds like shes getting a good deal to her too.
