Melatonin sleeping pills?!
Question: where can you get 'em?
Answers: where can you get 'em?
You can get them at health food stores, pharmacies, and most grocery stores.
Melatonin is not a sleeping pill. It's a hormone that's produced naturally in the pineal gland at the base of the brain, from the amino acid tryptophan. It's important in regulating sleep and your circardian rhythm (your inner time clock). It has other benefits in addition to aiding sleep.
Remember that natural does not mean the same as safe. As with anything you take you should research it throughly, knowing the benefits, risks, and recommendations before deciding it's right for you. There are certain conditions where it's suggested that Melatonin shouldn't be taken.
For sleep, it should be taken 30-60 minutes before you plan on retiring for the night.
Most suggest starting at 1.5 mg dosage and working up from there over a period of time.
Generally it is regarded as safe, used for short periods of time.
health shops i guess
My son was on melatonin and we could only get them from the doctor.
Grocery stores and health food stores...and they should not be referred to as sleeping pills. They are an herbal aid~an alternative to a sleeping pill...
5htp works better than melatonin.
