Are spasms normal during ACUPUNCTURE?!
Question: Ok so today was the 8th session. The painful points remain painful, but I've learned to loosen up my body a bit before the needles. Aside from the pain, every session I get a spasm in my foot (starts when a needle is inserted in the side of my leg -), and it goes on randomly even up to an hour or so after. He says it is completely random, but it still is wierd and uncomfortable.
The spasms aren't that strong, but what do you think?

I just found on this website the side effects of acupunture. It says that muscle spasms are a side effect but are very rare.
