Is taking prescription drugs with alcohol bad (as in ineffective)?!
Question: It depends upon the drug. Some drugs will lose some of their effectiveness, some drugs will interact with the alcohol to increase their actions (as in the case of sedatives), and some drugs when mixed with alcohol can be dangerous, even life-threatening. The drug's label or instruction pamphlet should tell you these things.

if the drugs have sulfur you could have a disulfide reaction which can kill you so be careful.
Depending on the prescription it can make your stomach bleed and it can slow your heart rate. Call your doctor and leave a msg for the nurse to check the risks.
