My mom used to put me in ice baths!. It's no fun & I'd scream the whole time, but it broke the fevers!.Www@Youqa@Cn

Fever is part of the body's immune response to an infection, so you don't just treat the number!.!.!.!.if he otherwise seems ok, and is eating and drinking, don't worry about it too much!.
If he's under 5, there is a risk of febrile seizures if the fever gets above 102-103 for a prolonged amount of time

If he is flat, lethargic, or delerious then make sure he isn't too bundled up, use tepid moist face cloth to dampen skin!.!.!.do NOT immerse in ice water, that is dangerous!.

He needs to be taking in fluids, as with fever you tend to sweat ,and kids can get dehydrated quickly!.

There aren't any "herbs" that are safer or work better than good old acetominophen!.

If this has been going on for a few days, and he has no other symptoms except the fever, you might want to get him checked out by a doctor!.!.!.a real one, mind you, not some Altie "healer"Www@Youqa@Cn

How old is your son!? How long as this been going on!? If he's young than you should take him to the ER immediately, alternative medicine or not as high fevers can be very dangerous!.

The only tried and true methods are lots of fluids and sleep!.Www@Youqa@Cn

Tylenol, and Pedialyte!. Pedialyte also comes in popsicles!! Make sure that his clothing is loose, and kept dry!. DON'T bundle him in blankets in attempt to "break" his fever!.Www@Youqa@Cn

try to wrap his body to wet towels, this should help to bring down the temperatureWww@Youqa@Cn
