Question: Can I still use this medicine.?
while cleaning up around the apartment I found this :
Prilosec OTC (expiry date July..07)
Dristan Cold (expiry date Jan..08)
Wal-phed PE (not sure of the national brand equivelant, it's from Walgreens) expiry date of March08
My question is are any of these products still safe to use.? If so for how much longer.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
They should all still be SAFE to use, and the cold medicine and sudafed generic will both be just as effective as they would be before their expiration dates--the actual time it takes to lose efficacy is usually much longer than what they put on the box..
The prilosec I'm not so sure about......it won't cause your body any harm if you take it, but it might not be very effective at reducing acid production this long after the recommended "use by" date..Health Question & Answer

to be safe i wouldn't take expired medicine.. it has an expiration date for a reason..Health Question & Answer
