Well, yes and no.. Coral Calcium has not only Calcium, but a lot of trace minerals that can not only help the absorption of the Calcium, but can help with other benefits throughout the body.. I wouldn't go for some of the hype that I heard back when the fad started (like about curing all diseases, helping cancer, etc), but it IS very good for bone health..
No, as far as I'm aware, it's illegal to harvest coral from the major reefs (they are protected, I think).. Most all of the Coral Calcium products would come from coral that's grown outside of the ocean, though.. It helps to remove the threat of ocean contamination (heavy metals and whatnot), plus it doesn't damage the habitat of the natural coral reefs..Health Question & Answer
