Other than B vitamins, what other home remedies are there for perleche / angular cheilitis / stomatitis?!

Question: Other than B vitamins, what other home remedies are there for perleche / angular cheilitis / stomatitis.?
also known as cheilosis.. I always thought I had cold sores but it turns out these cracks at the corner of mouth are called perleche and aren't even contagious.. But they are awful.. There is supposed to be this home remedy out there which you have to buy and I think that's ridiculous, home remedies are always shared among people and selling them is cruel.. So nobody refer me to that "foundation" that's selling the home cure, ok! I know I need to start taking B vitamin complex and iron, and that one great way to do this is eating Brewer's Yeast.. Some people suggest drying the area out, others adding moisture to soothe it.. And everyone seems to agree that the antifungal creams and hydrocortisone that allopathic doctors prescribe is basically useless or nearly so.. So, what is this secret home remedy other than what I have mentioned, does anyone know more.? Thanks in advance! Health Question & Answer

I really feel for you hun cos i've just managed to resolve my little girls's cracks at the corners of her mouth .............. Sore & cracked mouth lips and tongue, cracking and splitting skin around your fingernails and grainy and sandy feeling in your eyes are signs of vitamin B2 (riboflavin) deficiency hun ........ eat more foods rich in B2 ie~

milk ~ if you can tolerate dairy, liver, kidneys, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish, eggs, yoghurt and beans..

Vitamin B2 is needed in our bodies for healthy nails, skin and hair, will benefit vision and alleviate eye fatigue and works best with B6, B3 and vitamin C.............................. so, take a multi B complex supplement, particularly if you are lactose intolerant or vegetarian ~ get one including all the B's ie ~ B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12............ as they all work best as a group........ Don't buy any of the B complex of vitamins individually unless specifically instructed to do so by a nutritionally oriented physician or naturopath..

Eat more foods rich in vitamin C ie ~ citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and organes, berries, strawberries, potatoes and tomatoes and leafy and green vegies..

Take a daily fish oil supplement as it is rich in omega 3's and will help to keep hair, skin and nails healthy..

Or simply eat fresh fish ........ not the tinned varieties ........ like salmon and tuna or grind organic flax or linseeds and sprinkle over your vegies..

The whole and natural food will always be the most nutritious and easiest to assimilate..

Things that could be robbing you of your precious B complex of vitamins are ~ antiobiotics, antidepressants, laxatives and diuretics, otc cold and flu meds, coffee, tea, sodas and soft drinks and alcohol .................................... when we're under stress our B vitamins will be depleted first hun so bolster your immune, digestive and neural system by taking a B complex supplement ?

Go to your local health food store and get some calendula cream to soothe the cracks on your mouth in the meantime..

hope this helps u
