Omega 3 Fish Oil a day.. Could any of these supplements cause her skin to break out.? She started breaking out about a week ago for the first time..Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Well, that's kind of a yes/no.. The problem is probably one of two main possibilities...... the more obvious being standard hormonal changes that occur in the teens.. The less obvious that sometimes happens is that she's getting too much support for her skin.. The problem with that is that Vitamin D, CoQ10, and Fish Oil can all help with skin health...... and if you get "too much support" for skin health, some people may break out from that (often because their skin makes too much oil or tries to cleanse out too much)..
It's most likely that it's a combination of too much skin support and the hormonal fluctuations of a teen.. You may just need to accept it as most teens need to and have her gently wash her face twice (or three times) daily, use an antibacterial soap (or one designed for acne fighting), etc..
I hope I helped, but in any case, I wish you both luck!Health Question & Answer

More Importantly why does a 15 yr old need COQ10 especially 200mg, she should be making plenty of it in her liver.? Its naturally manufactured as ubiquinone in the liver and production starts to cease as you get older, its also a fat soluble nutrient which means you can get too much of it.. But I dont see how these supplements could cause that unless shes having a specific food allergy type reaction to a specific one, you could try tapering the dosages and see if that helps..Health Question & Answer
