Is it true that they relieve stress
Every time I get one, my masseuse says "Oh, you have so much stress," and then she presses down on my back and says that she is depriving the stress of oxygen.. I usually get Swedish massages, if that helps.. So, are they good for you.? also, what is the best type for a teen.?Health Question & Answer

I think the best massage is a therapeutic massage from a licensed massage therapist.. Don't buy into those " back walkers" and other assorted quackery such as that.. Certainly, a nice massage from a loved one can reduce stress and help that way, but I know a person that had his wife walk on his back and actually cracked a couple of his ribs..

Go to someone reputable for a massage, whether it be licensed therapeutic or just for stress relief.. It's too easy to be hurt by people that don't know what they're doing..
