Question: It's a question about my first aterol prescription
and first things first.. yes i am per scribed.. its my first time taking it though.. i got diagnosed with ADD.. they had me start on 40 Mg's because they said the ADD was caught so late i need to start with high doses.. he said trouble sleeping is a normal side effect for the first time..
here is my question.. i didn't sleep at all and have been awake for about 24 hours now.. is this ok.? will i crash later from lack of sleep.? will it harm me.?Health Question & Answer

Just pick up the phone and call the doc's office and advise them of your side-effect..
Sleep deprivation isn't healthy, but most of the time you will get so tired that you will lie down and rest.. (2nd best thing to sleep!)
Don't be scared.. Many soldiers go two or more days wilthout sleep in wartime.. Your body will correct for it..
A couple Benedryl will usually get most people off their feet and into bed..fairly quickly.. Ask your doc, that's why he has a phone and nurses to help..
Your body will adjust to the meds......be patient, the wait is the worse part! You'll be fine! Try to relax.. Lie down and meditate or think of pleasant things..Health Question & Answer
