First I gotta give a shout out to my buddy MINX! What up MINX.? Hey minx a report just came out I saw on one of those house call shows on cable says that they found that coffee does not dehydrate you.. They also found that it lowers your risk of several illnesses including colon cancer.. I know they change their mind a lot,but anyways this doctor,I thin it was Rosenthaw, said Coffee doesn't dehydrate you..

Now yes honey as Minx said has antimicrobial effect and it has vitamins and minerals too..

I'll just tell you what I do for the flu as i cured my own pneumonia several times years ago during Chicago winters.. I had once a 104..3 fever and was coughing so hard that it gave me like a migraine headache.. I took $200 and went to health food store instead of hospital and I'm not telling anyone to do this, but this worked for me..

Wild Oregano by American Herb and Spice {It's worth every penny and all of the other brands I found aren't even close to this one!}

Just one report about Wild Oregano-

I use this to kill infection..

Olive leaf extract capsules- I take them as is and make them into a tea as well and they taste bland not bad..I use this as well to kill infections..
Here is a report from a doctor that endorses olive leaf extract..

I take Wild Oregano separately by dropper..I swallow some water first as it can gag a dry throat.. Then I put it under the tongue and it burns a little and I sometime add a little something sweet and swish it around mouth too.. It's string, but it gives a sense that says it's good for you.. You feel it working and it also has 16 times as much calcium as milk..

Then I take all of these herbs by opening capsules and making a tea:
Olive leaf extract, fenugreek{Used to decrease fluid going into lungs},horsetail rush herb{To thin mucus in lungs and sinuses}, chickweed{has extra nutrition for ling support}.. I add honey and lemon also and keep stirring.. This all doesn't taste bad to me either.. I repeat this many times per day.. I sip it 24/7..

Then I drink 100% cranberry juice to cleanse organs.. I drink Dole brand orange, pineapple, and banana juice.. Pineapple has bromelain enzyme which is used for anti-inflammatory properties..

Then I drink about 1 quart of gatorade a day to replace electrolytes and finally I take spirulina capsules because in my opinion it's the healthiest vegetable in the world and when sick and can't eat a lot it is used to replace nutrients and it also is known to activate Killer T cells in the immune system..

Use at your own risk and remember anyone can be allergic to anything so start slow if you try anything I do..

Hope you feel better!Health Question & Answer

Potatoe water i can't enlighten you on.......... Honey and lemon juice though i do know are very good for you.. Organic Raw honey is a natural antiobiotic so will help greatly with inflammation and respiratory infections..

Freshly squeezed lemon juice is rich in vitamin C............vitamin C has been shown to have effective antihistamine properties and will thus help with runny nose, watery eyes, coughing etc............................ if you're taking lots of aspirin you're losing vitamin C................ Vitamin C reduces inflammation, stimulates the immune system and restores the mucous lining of the gastrointestinal tract.................... In addition, vitamin C creates an environment in the digestive tract that helps control the overgrowth of yeast, bacteria and parasites..

also cut right back on caffeine containing drinks such as coffee and tea and eliminate sodas and soft drinks and pop as they will all dehydrate you terribly and rob you of your precious water soluble supplies of vitamin C..

Other things that will rob you of your precious supplies of vitamin C are alcohol, aspirin and otc counter cold and flu meds, antiobiotics, sleeping tablets, laxatives and diuretics and smoking........ Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin and as such our bodies can neither store or produce it and we need to ingest it on a daily basis..

eat more foods rich in vitamin C ie ~leafy and green vegies, citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and oranges, strawberries, blackberries and red and green peppers etc......

Vitamin C deficiency can contribut to digestive problems, as well as bleeding gums, increased susceptibility to infection, joint pain, unexplained bruising and lack of energy.......... hmm, vitamin C the magical potion i reckon......................;0)

take care of you

peace
