there are special opium pipes that act as vaporizers, they look like a long bong, or like a steamroller.. the opium is dropped into the lightbulb type end, and held to a candle or flame source, and the opium vaporizes and thats what you breath in.. ive heard it knocks you out after one or two hits..
i answered your question but here's my two cents: i wouldnt reccomend opium to anyone who may "hypothetically" wish to try it.. while psychadelic, it is different from other psychadelics because of its heavy effect on the body.. its an opiate, and therefore has a very addictive chemical nature to it.. it is also very harsh on the lungs, similiar to crack or meth.. my friend smoked weed and hash all the time and he was fine, but he started smoking opium and within two months of starting, he got a collapsed lung and had to be hospitalized.. but do what you want, its your free time..
