Question: Is st johns wort safe to take.? .?
ive recently put up a question about depression and aids to help it.. st johns wort was suggested, so i looked into it.. but it seems that there are problems using this natural drug, eg - it affect the pill and alsorts apparently.. so im quite confused as to whether it is safe of not.. i would like to try it but am bit wery of these things.. yes st john's wort does help for depression but can not be taken with blood pressure medication, you can type in google search: "st johns wart interaction with drugs and food", that should give you some indication if you can take it safely with your pill..

Another alternative for depression is tryptophan which is a supplement, which is a pre-cursor to seratonin, which might also be an alternative to research if you are not sure, however, you can not drink any alcohol if you take tryptophan..Health Question & Answer
