Massage Therapy can lead to all different kinds of things, not just PT or OT.. Massage Therapist can do sports therapy or eastern medicine.. I would watch it though, it is an over-populated career field and hard to build your own clientele.. Health Question & Answer

Massage therapy just leads to being a massage therapist.. Most massage therapists set up their own business or find a job in a spa, clinic, hospital or some other place..

Physical therapists sometimes use massage therapy.. I am not as sure about occupational therapists..

Massage is usually really a second career for most as you can only really do about 20 massages a week because of the physical demands on your body.. The average age for massage therapists is 45 so massage schools are geared toward teaching adults..

Health Question & Answer

I've had Occupational Therapy (OT) after having a stroke.. It can encompass a lot of things, but basically it involves helping those "relearn" daily tasks (such as dressing yourself, brushing your teeth, shopping, etc).. Massage Therapy would probably be more related to Physical Therapy (PT)..

Good luck!Health Question & Answer
