often times nausea is triggered or made worse by not eating, and once you are nauseas from not eating obviously it will be hard to eat anything.. this is where the dry toast comes in, its easy to eat.. and its easy on your stomach so you will be less likely to throw it up as opposed to like, a cheeseburger or something.. so as you said, "thats probably the only thing i could eat right now.." thats exactly why it helps..
of course you should drink plenty of fluids when vomiting to keep from getting dehydrated and avoid dairy and caffeine.. your stomach will thank you if you avoid citrus until it calms down too.. Health Question & Answer

It won't help with nausea if the nausea if caused by dehydration buddy.......... try having a few glasses of water and see if that makes a difference............ your body will have a terrible time digesting food, transporting nutrients, breathing, lubricating your joints etc..etc..etc.. if you are dehydrated........ you need at least 2 - 3 litres of water each day so drink up..

Oh, try to cut back on caffeine and alcohol if you drink any too as they will only dehydrate you terribly...... as will sodas and soft drinks..

peace baby
