First Reiki session, I didn't feel anything?!
Question: First Reiki session, I didn't feel anything.?
I recently had my first 1/2 hour reiki session. I have heard from people that have had reiki done to them that they can feel the reiki, and some people said it tingled. I didn't feel anything during my reiki session, except for when the instructor used the pendulum to find/balance my chakras. Was I supposed to feel something.? Is it possible that the instructor that did the reiki learned how to but had never had reiki done to her, so she was doing the right thing, she just couldn't do it.? Mainly, was I supposed to feel anything when the actual reiki was going on.?Health Question & Answer

Don't worry. You don't always feel something, even if you are very sensitive.
I am a Reiki Master and I myself don't always feel something. It depends how much you need the Reiki and it depends where the energy chooses to go.
If you have doubts about the competence of the instructor you should find out more or go to another instructor.

Not all people feel anything the first time. A lot has to do with how open you are to receiving, and also the compatibility with the practicioner. Do you know if the practicioner was a master.? Its possible they were only a 1st or 2nd level practicioner, therefore you were receiving a full blast and were unable to feel it. Whether or not you felt it though, you did receive it. Of course you're not supposed to feel anything. No one touched you. You can't feel nothing, you can' t hear silence, you can't see a vacuum.
