Question: What are some natural ways to get over a cold, fast.?
I was wondering if you know any tricks to getting over a cold faster, you know things to eat or drink, stuff like that. I have a stuffy nose, soar throat, headache, and fever. But I have to be better by tomorrow. Any advice is appreciated=]Health Question & Answer

orange juice, medicine, and sleep
stay in bed, try not to use to much energy, chicken noodle soup and keep fluids in yourself
for the fever- a cold shower, you might not like it, but it'll bring it down
you want to break that fever, or you wont get any better.
for the soar throat: cough drops. or buy the ones that are for soar throats. if you dont have those, drink warm stuff to sooth it.
headache: dont lay down, try to sit up some, unless you are sleeping.

You already have it, so it has to run its course. The medicine helps to make your situation comfortable, yet it's really best to avoid that stuff. When I have had the colds affect my ears, I'd take a decongestant to avoid the infection...and not sleep flat so that the fluid rests behind my ear drum and create infection. Don't take medicine to eliminate fever. The fever is there to fight the illness. Let fever do its thing. Wear breathable clothes so that your body can vent.

Here's to answer your question, though. If you start exercising and stay away from sodas and junk food more, your immune system will improve. You can exercise when you have a cold. The only time you should not exercise is when you have fever, or when you can't keep food in your body (vomiting). I think about buring the sickness away. Improved immunity doesn't happen over night. You have to maintain this way of health to really notice that you will not get sick so much. I have had only 2 colds in 5 years now, and they lasted only a couple days.
