For the same reason there's generic Cheerios and name brand Cheerios... personal preference.
Some people try a brand and have good experience, so they trust that brand. I have talked to countless people that have said they are taking a product because it works for them and they are too scared to stop taking it and try something else. Some people don't care about price, they care about results and don't want to change what's working. Some people don't trust generics because of misinformation or "horror stories" they've heard (like the fraudulent companies that sell generic drugs that are actually baking soda or a simple Calcium pill) and assume all generics are like that and/or don't want to risk it.
