What are the effects of Marijuana?!
Question: What are the effects of Marijuana.?
I would like to hear all effects marijuana has on the human body (long and short term). Please explain using only scientific facts, listing any sources that ALL facts are derived from. If you are able to explain which chemicals/substances in marijuana effect certain parts of the body, that would be great.
This is mainly for educational purposes. I am not for or against marijuana, so I do not want to hear anyone telling me that everything about marijuana is good, nor do I want to hear that everything about it is bad. I tried to 'google' some information and i can't seem to find any straight facts, only discussions between people trying to prove that it is horrible or great, using many false studies and facts.
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks : )

straight facts are going to be hard to come by if your looking for negative effects on the body. the DEA is still not the most trustworthy source even now a days. for on biases info i would use erowid they never led me wrong.Health Question & Answer

It is honestly the safest drug out there and less harmful than cigarettes and alcohol. If you ask this online you are going to get a lot of myths, such as that it kills your brain cells, which has been proven false.
Marijuana impairs SHORT term memory ONLY WHILE INTOXICATED. It does nothing whatsoever to your long term memory and once the person is no longer intoxicated their short term memory is exactly the same as before.
Studies show that chronic marijuana smokers are are no higher risk for lung cancer or emphysema than non-smokers. Compared to tobacco, marijuana is only 33% as harmful to lungs, and since pot smokers don't smoke nearly as much as cigarette smokers, there is virtually no harm done to the lungs.
