Question: Medicinal Marijuana APA.?
Hey everyone. I gotta write an APA style paper for my Psych course about legalizing marijuana for medicinal use, and I need some good, credible articles, websites, journals, etc. Anyone have some good information about medicinal marijuana.? No, I'm not some loser kid online just trying to ask a controversial question, lol. I'm a grown woman trying to do my college work. I'll let my stance on the whole thing remain in question for now, if you guys don't mind helping me, please.? I'm so tired and this is due on Wednesday! Thanks ya'll.Health Question & Answer

Marijuana smoking does not increase a person's risk of developing lung cancer, according to the findings of a new study at the UCLA University of California Los Angeles that surprised even the researchers.
They had expected to find that a history of heavy marijuana use, like cigarette smoking, would increase the risk of cancer.
Instead, the study, which compared the lifestyles of 611 Los Angeles County lung cancer patients and 601 patients with head and neck cancers with those of 1,040 people without cancer, found no elevated cancer risk for even the heaviest pot smokers. It did find a 20-fold increased risk of lung cancer in people who smoked two or more packs of cigarettes a day.
The study results were presented in San Diego Tuesday at a meeting of the American Thoracic Society.
The study was confined to people under age 60 since baby boomers were the most likely age group to have long-term exposure to marijuana, said Dr. Donald Tashkin, senior researcher and professor at the UCLA School of Medicine.
I have smoked it for yrs..years. I am allergic to all opiate drugs and have had 17 surgeries.Pot is all I have. I also am allegic to wheat. There is wheat in everything includes meds. It helps with glucoma also. Here in Calif it costs you 200.00 for the permit and then for the smallest amount like 5 joints worth cost ya 85.00. Its a rip off. The streets sell it for about the same.
I live in a 55 plus gated community of 18,500 homes and they are asking for someone to start a 420 club.
Thaty would be great. The prices are steep but when thats all you have, its a blessing.

I am so tired of hearing how bad it is and how you go from pot to heroin. It also cause schizophernia. LMAO.

In Venice Beach, CA, you just walk into the clinic, tell them anything , give them $125, and they give you a card to buy weed. My husband did it just because he got sick of playing phone tag with his dealer. It is a bunch of B.S. in general, though I am sure there are conditions which marijuana can alleviate. But I think mainly it is a shortcut like my husband uses it for. Personally, I like my beer.Health Question & Answer
