Answers:
pharmacists play a huge role in hospitals, they dispense medications as ordered by physicians.
Physicians order, pharmacists dispense, nurses administer. That is the way it works in every hospital across the USAHealth Question & Answer

It depends on the hospital that you are working in.
most of them will stock the drug carts on the floors.
some times they will depends drugs to out patients as well

some times if the hospital if in a clinical trial they will work with the patients that are in it and dispense the drugs to them and do that paper work associated with it

there is usually on working at all times in case emergency drugs are needed.

they also show patients how to use inhalers and or other meds for when they go home

they also teach patients about drugs that they are on and so on.Health Question & Answer

I have worked in a Hospital in Canada (as a Social Worker) where the Hospital Pharmacist came to ward rounds to contribute to the knowledge of drug interactions. The doctors should know all this of course, but it seemed the pharmacist had a lot to offer. Doctors are busy doing lots of other things than prescribing drugs only.Health Question & Answer
