Why don't i get thirsty?!


Question: Why don't i get thirsty.?
I'm often quite dehydrated (I know because my urine is almost brown, my mouth is dry, and I feel lightheaded sometimes) but I feel no need to drink anything. What does this mean.?.? Thanks!! :]Health Question & Answer


Answers:
By the time you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated. Then the thirst goes away and your body goes into survival mode. Here's a clip from an article addressing the symptoms. You need to develop better habits before you truly suffer.

Some of these mild dehydration effects are often, but not limited to:

* Thirst
* Loss of appetite
* Dry skin
* Flushing
* Dark colored urine
* Dry mouth / Cotton mouth
* Fatigue / Weakness
* Chills
* Head rushes

If the dehydration is allowed to continue, when the body experiences fluid loss of 5% the following more severe dehydration effects are normally experienced:

* Increased heart rate
* Increased respiration
* Decreased sweating
* Decreased urination
* Increased body temperature
* Extreme fatigue
* Muscle cramps
* Headaches
* Nausea
* Tingling of the limbs

When the body reaches 10% fluid loss emergency help is needed IMMEDIATELY! This level of fluid loss is often fatal! The effects of severe dehydration include:

* Muscle spasms
* Vomiting
* Racing pulse
* Shriveled skin
* Dim vision
* Painful urination
* Confusion
* Difficulty breathing
* Seizures
* Chest and Abdominal pain
* Unconciousness

You are probably too busy to realise that you need a drink. Ideally you should drink a small cup of water for every hour you are awake.
Your urine should be pale yellow. If you don't drink enough you can tell because your urine will be dark and usually smells like sugar puffs.
You are feeling light-headed because you are not drinking enough.

its okk , u've got used to not drinkin water...its so bad ofcourse and u gotta change this habbit , before u hurt urself in a bad way...well i suggest u drinkin coffee or juices if ur not very into water , and nonalcoholic beer is also Ok...take a look at ur body, did u know u r about 71% water .?.?.? so dont desert ur self and give ur body wut it need unless u'll get old ,'n it show up in ur face soooooooon...Health Question & Answer
