Does anybody use a mooncup?!

Question: Does anybody use a mooncup.?
Only people who use one of these will no what I'm talking about so no time wasters please.

I have recently started using one as I am going travelling in 9 weeks and thought it would be the easiest solution...how bloody wrong i was with bloody being the operative word.

I used it for the first time at the beginning of the week and it "disappeared" as in it when really high so it leaked and I couldnt get it out, I literally must have struggled for 30 mins or more poking around. I was in desperation I nearly had to get my poor boyfriend to come and help as I couldnt reach or get him to take me to casualty.

Anyway eventually I got it out and decided to persevere and try again the next day. The same thing happened after only an hour of wearing it. I have tried not to put it up to high etc but it just goes up there. I am using the right size as have had no babies, am young and have a small frame so its not that.

So I went back to using my usual method and have tried again today when I am at the end of the week.
It has been ok, stayed in place and came out pretty easily although it felt slippy so I had to use my knickers to get a better grip on the stem.

But I want to use it all the time what can I do!!!!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I use one. If it's not positioned properly you will have problems. If you're not relaxed enough they are much harder to insert and remove. If you can't grab the stem, you may have cut it too short. Try to push down when removing it, it's much easier to get hold of, but remember it will be a bit slippy! Just use a bit of loo paper to help you grip.
There also can be problems with positioning and insertion and removal if you need to do a poo or are constipated. (The full rectum pushes into the vaginal wall).
How often are you emptying the cup.? When you first start using it I would empty it more often, until you get used to recognizing your body's 'flow.'

It will get better, just persevere. They are much cheaper and safer than tampons, and don't pollute the environment. Mine paid for itself after a few months and if you're travelling you'll find that many countries sanitary protection isn't as good as the products in Europe.Health Question & Answer

I've never used one, but I have visited the website and I think they had a pretty good faq section. If this doesnt help you could perhaps brave emailing them with your problems and see if they have any suggestions.Health Question & Answer

LOL I just received one as a gag gift, haven't used it yet. It does seem messy!
