I think that is the name of it. Where they look into your eyes and determine the state of your healthHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
There are six steps to the disease process..by the time a person goes to the dr, it is usually in the fourth step and probably by the fifth step a dis-ease is diagnosed.
In iridology the imbalance can be detected at the first few steps, depending on the type of other diagnostic tools the healer uses.
Iridology also gives the paternal and maternal history going back three generations.
As long as the therapist has a sound knowledge of the functioning of the individual's body and the inter relationship between systems, a very acurate diagnosis may be had.
There is nothing like nipping a dis-ease in the bud, and iridology is an excellent tool for helping in achieving this.

PubMed systematic review :

Conclusion:
"The majority of these investigations suggests that iridology is not a valid diagnostic method. Conclusion: The validity of iridology as a diagnostic tool is not supported by scientific evaluations. Patients and therapists should be discouraged from using this method."

And:
"Controlled studies reveal that iridology is of no use whatsoever for the detection of cancer and other diseases in the stomach, intestines, kidney, lungs and heart. The reason for the continued popularity of iridology is discussed, and it is concluded that this type of alternative medicine is not harmless."

I think Iridology can provide a map of sorts to add another layer of understanding of health/disease.

I am not really aware of any treatments that an Iridologist would recommend aside form herbs, homeopathy, diet, nutritional supplements, acupuncture, etc and in many cases those treatments might work.Health Question & Answer

Presumably the idiots that pay for this quack treatment believe it works. I can't use the word "think" in that case.

Heres a wiki article for those tired of The Skeptics Dictionary and Quackwatch (though they both also have excellent articles on Iridology)
