It's actually rat poison and it thins your blood - thats how it kills the rats. If she falls on her head she is likely to have a stroke. It can be a very dangerous medicine. Check why she needs it and if there is some alternative. Health Question & Answer
Hopefully she's getting her coumidin (aka warfarin) levels checked and adjusted Regularly by her doctor. This can be very dangerous to take as it levels are too high she can bleed out, and if levels are to low no blood to heart. If she is on this there are other health issues she has, possibly one of those other health issues is making her sick enough to go the hospital.
