Does prostate massage help?!

Question: Does prostate massage help.?
does prostate massage help with ED and frequest urinationHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
Possibly. It might help with frequent urination if the prostate is swollen. As to erectile dysfunction... depends if it is pleasurable or not.

One thing you need to watch out for... some alternative medicine doctors (one in Arizona comes to mind) uses vigorous prostatic massage to "break up secretions and bacteria". Too vigorous of a massage can take a prostititis infection and push the bacteria into your bloodstream.

Try it yourself (it takes a bit of a reach... you can buy anal dildos at a sex toy shop) with some lubricant and do some a gently massage. Hit the sides and not directly the middle of the prostate (cause you'd be hitting your urethra and possible causing more swelling.

I do recommend warm bath soaks and you might have luck with doing abdominal and pelvic floor exercises. Imagine you are going to try and stop a urine stream as you are laying down. Strain those muscles hard for 10 seconds and release. Do it 3 times.

Practice at least twice a day. Try and build up to doing it 15 times. I bet you'll notice an improvement.Health Question & Answer

frequent urination could be a sign of a bladder or kidney infection. It could also be a sign of an enlarged prostate, since an enlarged prostate would press on the bladder. ED could be caused by a number of things not relating to the prostate, including diabetes, high blood pressure, poor blood circulation, high cholesterol, etc. Prostate massage won't hurt but talking to your doctor to figure out what is causing the problem is best.Health Question & Answer
