Posted yesterday by me to the same question poser:

The only reason it's BAD to do in America is because of the LEGALITY of it. That's the ONLY ******* REASON.

Otherwise, alcohol is GLAMORIZED on TV commercials, in college, billboards, everywhere we turn, and that **** DESTROYS more lives than marijuana.

Oh, and MARIJUANA is not a ******* gateway drug. The only "gateway" it creates is that of doing "illegal" things. That's a DIRECT correlation to the GOVERNMENT. The government makes marijuana illegal and therefore if you partake in marijuana supposedly you've lost the difference between right and wrong. The SAME ******* thing would happen if POT was legal and ALCOHOL was illegal. It's ALL government adulterated PROPAGANDA to scare the masses. And, for a lot of Americans, fear is their only God and they are willing to bend to whatever is being said as "truth".

Marijuana has never been linked to cancer or ANY smoking disease. NOT a damn one. Anyone who says otherwise is a Christian, morally-upstanding I'm-too-scared-to-find-the-truth-out-for... bigot who will never open their eyes to the truth about marijuana. But, they will partake in the legal drug alcohol and destroy their bodies and morals in the same token, a bit hypocritical, huh.?

Dude, check this: as we probably know, many benefit from marijuana used as medicine. Helps in a VARIETY of different ways, and MANY are a testament to it. And, marijuana doesn't harm the user. Um, can alcohol say the same.? Is there ANYTHING good about alcohol.? No. And red wine does not count. You can get the same phytonutrients that help the heart from super-berries and not have the detrimental effect of alcohol coupled in the wine. NOTHING good from alcohol.

I ******* hate this subject because so many people are fueled by fear. The fear of their "god", the fear of what the government falsely states and creates. **** the government, **** the legality issue, **** propaganda. It's time people open up their eyes and realize fear is running a lot of their lives.Health Question & Answer

It's not for everyone. It's not terrible but it's not really a good way to spend your time either. If you never try it or only try it once, more power to you. If you pass on grass, that's great. If you do enjoy smoking weed once in a while, whatever. But people do get addicted. Mental addiction or not, you can still get hooked depending on your personality.

My boyfriend used to smoke every day before we started dating. He got to a point where he would wake up, smoke with his friends, do nothing for a few hours, eat, then smoke again, do nothing, dinner, get high, go to bed. He realized this was no way to be. When he wasnt high, he was a brainless slug. It made him depressed so he quit for a year. He did start smoking again and he now gets high about 2-3 times a week. I wish he wouldn't because it upsets me because I'm afraid of him slipping back into getting high every day.

As for me, I've only tried it once. I let other people talk me into it. I don't regret it because I'm glad I have that other perspective on it, but I wouldn't do it again. I just didn't think it was that great and it's not worth the risk of getting caught.

Non-smokers tend to look down on stoners but there have been plenty of stoners who get all condescending with me as well for not smoking. People who smoke weed like to make it seem like getting high is just about the best thing to do with your life, that it's no more harmful than a cup of coffee, that people who don't smoke aren't open minded. It gets old. I don't smoke because it makes me uncomfortable and I prefer not to be around it at all. People usually don't respect that decision, but you have to deal with it. People aren't going to respect you for smoking pot and people aren't going to respect you for NOT smoking pot. You just have to decide based on what you want for yourself.

What is wrong with it.? It's risky, you are breathing in smoke, it impairs you and if you do it too much, it can slow you and your mind down. What do I find wrong with it.? It divides people. For me personally, it always creates a really uncomfortable situation. I find I miss out on a lot because I don't want to be around people when they are getting high but I'm not willing to give up my own security and comfort just to hang out with stoners who are going to lecture me for hours on end.Health Question & Answer

Smoke it if you want to.

Here's something I don't get:

If a high school student gets caught with a joint, he'll hear all about how he's destroying his brain and his life will be screwed.

Yet, if a cancer victim smokes medical marijuana, he doesn't get that talk.

Chemical reactions either happen or they don't. Weed either kills your brain cells or it doesn't. If it won't give people with cancer brain damage, it won't hurt a normal person.

I've never smoked it, nor do I particularly want to, but I don't think other people should be kept from doing it.Health Question & Answer

It's a plant and the only reason as to why people view it as being wrong is because of the way the government portrays it. Tobacco and alcohol kill.. I don't think I can get an accurate amount of deaths from either of these two but I CAN tell you how many deaths were caused from smoking or eating marijuana... ZERO. The government can't regulate the product for reasons of people being able to grow it within their house or what not. People don't grow tobacco or have a brewery in their basement.. at least most people I assume. I used to smoke and I have to tell you that when I did I was much more motivated and happy than I am now. I would clean my house top to bottom in one day, take care of my pets, cook dinner for my husband and I, and still be motivated enough to take a jog around my neighborhood. Back when I used to smoke I felt happy, calm, and content with everything in my life regardless of the stresses that came. Where I work they have started randomized drug tests so I quit 'cold turkey', but ever since then I have felt depressed and lazy. I can't concentrate and my house is dirty every other day; I only clean if it really bothers me and I don't go running anymore. I sort of feel like my time has been ripped from me. Everything takes longer now and it's almost like there isn't enough time in the day for things I need or want to do. I now have pretty bad anxiety attacks and can't concentrate. So do I think it should be leagal.? Yes I truly do, regulate and package that ****. If you have not tried it don't deny others the satisfaction of enjoying themselves. Smoke it up guys.Health Question & Answer

It's not a big deal. I smoke on a daily basis AND I have a good job AND I'm a full time college student.... And I keep my apartment clean... and I have 2 dogs that I take care of...
Not everyone who smokes pot is a "stoner" or a loser or lazy.

I personally find that smoking pot chills me out and allows me to focus. I smoke before class, before I do homework, and before I go to work if I feel like it.
I'd much rather be driving on the road with someone who just smoked a blunt than with someone who just slammed a couple beers... Alcohol is perfectly legal, yet we've seen the side effects of alcohol poisoning and alcohol related deaths and car accidents.. Nobody has ever overdosed from smoking pot, ever, and in reality it doesn't slow your reaction time all that much. I'm proud to say that I've never wrecked my car, forgot my mom's birthday, ran over a little girl on bike at a drive through, or been lazy with school or work.

Smoking pot is really not as bad as everyone thinks it is...
Maybe all you anti-reefers should do a little research... you should actually go to some accurate websites for your information instead of anti-marijuana ones.

I say, smoke away!
The more people who smoke pot the better... sure we might all be fat from indulging in our munchies, but happier and calmer the world will be!Health Question & Answer

just little things here and there, the only one im scared of is that over years and years and years can do nightmares to your meat and 2veg.
its safer than most legal drugs and was actually banned in the first place because weed can be made into clothes much more cheeply than cotton, and can be made into a pain killer much more cheeply and effectivly than any pain killers at the time (1920's) so the pharmacial and agricultural lobby groups worked together to ban the drug..... before a single study on its damaging effects had ever been tkaen, interesting eh. Health Question & Answer

Lets see; its against the law, it alters consciousness, it replaces oxygen going to your brain, it causes depression and psychosis. Smoking anything is bad for you, not just weed. You have seen what tobacco can do to the lungs. Grass is held in the lungs longer than tobacco smoke. Can you imagine what it is doing to the tissues.? And did I mention, its against the law.?Health Question & Answer

it really depends on you and your physcial and mental make-up. i stopped doing it because it was making me really paranoid, to the extent where i would imagine i heard people saying things about me when they weren't! however i have lots of friends who do it every day and it has had no detrimental effects on them at all (except when you want to do something energetic!).
therefore i believe it's a totally personal thing that affects different people in different ways.Health Question & Answer

its mostly public opinion, and that it has been blown out of proportion as this terrible drug that kills you if u smoke once. the only thing bad is the smoke to the lungs.

to those who say it alters reality and conciousness, so does alcohol, but alcohol isnt medically recognized for anything, weed is.Health Question & Answer

Well for one thing the smoke is not good for your lungs at all, it kills brain cells. I know it is the best alternative to other drugs that are way worse for you. But idk i'd rather not do it. It's best to live happy drug free. Be happy living without any mind-altering substances. I try to live as simple as can be. I think that is the best way to live.Health Question & Answer

All drugs come from a plant eventually, and you should do whatever you want, but be aware of the conequenses. Pot creates depression and can lead to psychosis, and leads to poor motivation. Let me guess, your on the couch smoking pot right now.Health Question & Answer

Actually the proper use of it is a little bit in a vaporizer to combat health problems! It was never ment to be an item for smoking but neither was nicotine ment for that.. actually nicotine is worse for the lungs! I'm a herbalistHealth Question & Answer

According to the government....no. However, millions of Americans do so anyway at the risk of going to jail. The important thing with any substance is moderation. Health Question & Answer

its not a drug, its a plant, and there is nothing wrong with smoking it, just smoke it responsibly. Health Question & Answer

When I was in School i thought it was great. But later realised that any mind alteration is temporary and thats a DOWNER.
