Question: Human chiropractic. I need Help!!!.?
I am looking at becoming an equine chiropractor after first studying to be a human chiro first. Can anyone tell me how long it will take to become a fully qualified human chiropractor.? I am looking at doing this in the New Zealand chiropractic college or Palmer college or McTimoney. Thanks.Health Question & Answer


Answers:
It takes 4 or 5 years to qualify as a chiropractor depending on where you do it.
You can then do post grad courses in Equine techniques which vary from a couple of weekends to a couple of years diploma with 1000 hours practice.
Human Chiropractic is well regulated but equine is unregulated.
If you haven't started the course already you may also want to considere osteopathy. This will also give you a good grounding in manual therapy and there are lots of courses in Equine technique.

Not sure what Chiros get in NZ but Osteo's should be able to pull in $100,000 nz once established.

NB. There is a world of difference between McTimoney Chiropractic and Palmer Chiropractic. They are completely different animals!Health Question & Answer
