Twitching on Ritalin?!

Question: Twitching on Ritalin.?
Whenever I take Ritalin my mouth and jaw twitches and slowly goes away for the next 24 hours, is there a way to either get rid of that.? Or does anyone know why that happens.? It didn't happen to any of my friends, it doesn't bother me too much either, i'm just curious.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
This happens because Ritalin is actually a stimulant. Stimulants can make you twitch, make your jaw grind, cause anxiety and a host of other problems. I was on it in high school and found it not worth the side effects. There isn't any way to get rid of those side effects except to discontinue the medication, which would be my suggestion. There are natural supplements you can take like Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, Garlic, DHEA, Fish Oil/Omega 3's, etc. that will help you with memory and concentration. A combination of those helped me more than the Ritalin and Adderall I used to take and without any side effects.Health Question & Answer
