Natural Herbal Remedies for ADHD?!

Question: Natural Herbal Remedies for ADHD.?
Are there any natural remedies for a 4yr old that has ADHD.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You are very wise to try to treat this problem without using pharmaceutical drugs that can have very undesirable side effects.

First. you must test your child for food sensitivities. Sensitivity to various foods, additives, heavy metal poisoning, candida, low iron, and too much sugar or junk food can all cause ADHD so all of the above must be tested for.

Next, cut out all whites -- white flour, sugar, rice -- and provide a diet filled with whole grains and fresh vegetables and fresh fruits.

You can supplement the child's diet with:
Omega-3 -- 250 EPA and 50 DHA
B-complex, B-6 and B-12
Gingko Biloba
Picnogenol 30 mg. once a day
multivitamin with iron if the child's diet is terrible

Homeopathic remedies for ADHD, also known as micro-nutritionals, are organic compounds derived from natural substances that come from plants, minerals, or animals that are essential in minute amounts to the growth and health of an animal.

Homeopathics are scientifically created dilutions and succussions of medicines such that generally not even a molecule of the original substrate or medicine is present in the medicine.

The word Homeopathy is derived from the Greek words homeo, meaning similar, and pathos, meaning suffering or disease. Homeopathy is a system of medical therapeutics for treating people on the basis of "like cures like."

Similar in concept to that of vaccination, the homeopathic treatment for ADHD involves the use of very small doses of substances given to cure symptoms, when the same substances given at higher or more concentrated doses would actually cause those symptoms. The idea here is to stimulate the body's own healing and defense mechanisms and processes so as to prevent or treat illness.

Some patients report feeling worse for a brief period of time after starting homeopathic remedy for ADHD or homeopathic treatment for ADHD. Homeopaths interpret this as the body temporarily stimulating symptoms while it makes an effort to restore health.

Since a homeopathic treatment for ADHD is a very diluted mixtures of natural substances, they are safe and without side effects. This homeopathic remedy for ADHD are not known to interfere with conventional drugs. However, you should discuss this with your health care provider, as you would when taking any supplement or alternative treatment. Homeopathic preparations are FDA-regulated as over-the-counter medications.

Omega 3's. which you can ge from various fish oils and Dr. Sears sells a kids liquid kind in some stores and online. I have a son diagnosed with ADHD as well, however I am confident after he sees an E NT later this week he will have his adenoids removed, his speech will improve, and his snoring will go away allowing a peaceful nights sleep for a change. These will eliminate his qualifications required for an ADHD diagnosis. I feel my son's adenoids swell because of gluten, he does not have celiac but did test positive for a wheat sensitivity...we watch his diet but things sneak in, you may want to consider if your child also may need a food restriction of some kind, in addition to supplements. Best of luck and hugs.
