What is the natural way to disinfect ?!

Question: What is the natural way to disinfect .?
rather than using bleach for cleaning.? I have heard of cleaning agent such as Borox (poisonous), white vinegar, baking soda for cleaning tile, toilet bowl, shower, sink, tile / wood floor, etc, etc, but what about disinfecting .? Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Not that it's absolutely essential to do so, but I've found that to disinfect your home, you're better off with Lysol or bleach to give it a thorough cleaning (let's say spring cleaning), then using gentler products like white vinegar to maintain it. Especially the bathroom and kitchen.

The biggest trick is to keep on top of it. Wipe down the sink and counters with white vinegar daily or use a biodegradable cleanser with antiseptic plant extracts.
Do the same with the bathroom sink and toilet area.Health Question & Answer

There's a few different responses to this question.

Usually, we don't need to use antibiotics, soap and water will do the job just fine. The germs then just go into the trash or down the drain. There's no need to try to kill germs that just aren't there.

Since you're talking about bleach, you must be talking surfaces. There are a number of commercially available all-purpose cleaners out there. My personal favorite, available at the local grocery store and the local health food store (at least in the northeastern USA & FL where I have lived) is Seventh Generation. I use their laundry detergent, all purpose cleaner, tissues, dish detergent, paper towels. I've used a number of their other products as well. I've included links for Simple Green and Sun and Earth, both are great products that I've used personally and in my business and have seen used at the massage school I went to.

Other non-commercial alternatives: alcohol, vinegar, lemon juice, and finally water or alcohol with a combination of essential oils of lemon, eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender, grapefruit seed extract, or oregano oil. Most all of those essential oils have some degree of antimicrobial properties, some are also antifungal or antiviral.

Personally, I'll use natural soap and hot water or all-purpose cleaner even though I have all of these essential oils. The problem with antibiotics is that they also kill off the bacteria in the body that kill invading bacteria.Health Question & Answer

Baking soda! it's an excellent cleaner.I use it all the time when cleaning and doing my laundry. I don't know if it disinfects or not but I now that lemon juice does. So I would say to wash everything with a baking soda/ lemon juice mixture. Health Question & Answer
