Reiki hand positions, complete self treatment, standing or...?!

Question: Reiki hand positions, complete self treatment, standing or....?
I get tired standing the whole session of self treatment, I do it by the book, but it doesn'T mention if it would be correct to do it lieing down, the photos all appear to be standing self treatment hand positions, would it be all right if I gave a break between each five minutes.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I use a CD from Bronwen Steine of the International House of Reiki. The accompaning pictures show her in the Seizu (not sure of spelling) positions. My right knee will not permit my being in that position. I do the self-heal at night and do the five head positions sitting on the edge of my bed. Then I get under the covers lying down to do the major body positions and then have to do the knees, shins, ankles and feet sitting in the bed.

Another reason I do much of it lying down is I do some Pilates where you tighten the core area of the body, especially the hara region, so I am able to release the hara and breathe more deeply when I am lying down.

The procedure is not supposed to be stressful! So do it as your body permits and know that there is no RIGHT way. Covering the prescribed body parts in sequence would be the more important issue.

Health Question & Answer

You can give a break , but must start all over again. Regarding the position it is not necessary to be standing: you may sit or kneel after you start the healing!Health Question & Answer
