These medications do not cure epilepsy but they are used in treatment of epilepsy and the prevention of seizures. You might check the names for generic vs standard medication names. Lamictal, Tegretol, Valproic acid, Depakote are some. There are many others that aid in the prevention of seizures. Try the "google" site for more info.Health Question & Answer
I usuallly see Mysoline, Carbatrol or Zonegran. Do some research on these medications to see which one is best for you.
