What may be wrong with me, and how can I be more healthy?!

Question: What may be wrong with me, and how can I be more healthy.?
I am supposed to be quite healthy and a physically fit person, however, I seems to be getting sick all the time. Mostly some kind of bacteria infection. I often go to a Doctor and that is what she tells me. I then take antibiotics for 10 days, and be fine. Few weeks or few month later, I go through the same thing over again. IIs there any way I do not get sick all the time.?

I do exercise every week, I eat mostly fruits and veggies, I take high quality vitamins, and rest a lot, perhaps too much. Health Question & Answer

The antibiotics may be the CAUSE of your recurring infections. Antibiotics generally act indiscriminately - they kill the infection bacteria, but they also kill the GOOD bacteria (commensal microflora) in your gut. This leads to a chronic imbalance in the types of bacteria living in your gut called Dysbiosis. The loss of the normal, health-promoting, immune system stimulating commensal microflora can 'set you up' for chronic, recurring infections.

It may be time (way past time!) to consult with a properly trained nutritional health care professional who can evaluate the status of the microflora in your gut and guide you in normalizing them with proper "probiotics" supplements. Naturopathic Physicians, Certified Clinical Nutritionists (CCNs), many Chiropractors, and that rare medical doctor trained in nutriton or "functional medicine" would be appropriate health care providers to assist you.

Keep a journal of your day's activities, what you take and how you feel.
I'm not a physician
Consider a 1 day fast, no heavy activity on the day you fast to detox your system, as you begin to eat foods again start slowly with a clear soup not a heavy meal and again keep track of your symptoms
A good idea is what Joe the plumber said wash your sheets and pillowcases, if you use white vinegar in the rinse cycle it will rinse the residue from the clothing.
Log your accounts after the fast
Check what you're taking and see if there is possible a reaction or a possible combination that causing the infectionHealth Question & Answer

The antibiotics might be a reason why you're getting sick. Of course resting too much is bad for you, but I would focus on the antibiotics for now. Nobody needs antibiotics because our bodies already have the power to fight off infections. If you're introducing foreign antibodies into your system, it may even weaken your immune simply because it doesn't have to work as hard. Think of your immune system as a regular muscle: the less you use it, the weaker it becomes. If you don't let your immune system do what it's supposed to do, it will become weak and you will be more prone to illness.

My advice is to stop taking antibiotics altogether. I did that and I never get sick now. And when I do get sick, I just suck it up and let my immune system do the work. It's better for the immune system if you just drink water and rest, rather than taking an antibiotic to make it go away.

One more thing to warn about antibiotics. There are good germs and bad germs. If you take antibiotics, you kill off both the good and the bad. For example, you have good essential germs in the mouth. If you take antibiotics, you end up killing those germs in the mouth and that makes you more prone to gum and tooth related diseases.

If you stop the antibiotics, you might get sick a lot. But just remember that your immune system is probably still weak from the antibiotics you took. If you keep getting sick, just rest, take a bath, and resume your healthy habits. In a year or two, you'll notice your recovery time will have become much quicker.Health Question & Answer

Stop taking antibiotics immediately, they will kill you in the end! They killl the good bacteria.

OK! You need to replenish your body with acidophillus (killed by antibiotics) that is why you're getting sick.

Take natural Beta glucan 1,3 D for colds and flu, or strengthen your immune system with Royal Jelly (excellent to prevent wrinkles and give your skin radiance, by the way) . You can also try some mushrooms for immune system such as Red Reishi, Shiitake or Maitake or extract such as AHCC (very pricey!)

Vitamin C @ 1000mg every hour when sick with cold or flu up to bowel tolerance.

I suggest you shop www.iHerb.com for all this; it's a site that sells brand name supplements at heavily discounted prices. If you use iHerb.com discount coupon HAW031 at checkout you'll get $5 off your first order, no minimum order. Over $60 gets free shipping so stock up on whatever natural body/hair care, supplements you need.
