Is it possible to teach yourself to be ambidextrous ?!

Question: Is it possible to teach yourself to be ambidextrous .?
if so how im left handed so im trying to use my right hand more and more but as of now not much progressHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes, I've done it. Just practice, practice, practice. When it doesn't count for a grade or neatness, just use your right hand. If you want to "force" the issue, wrap your left in a way it can't be used to remind you to use your right hand. That is when I discovered it could be done. I had minor surgery on my left hand, it was wrapped, and the teachers at school (being so sympathetic) told me to use my right hand like everyone else! Hmmmmppph. If I'd been right handed, I know I would have gotten more grace. In the end I used my left hand and it took longer to heal. But, I did learn how to slowly teach myself to use my right.

I was right handed for all sports, but still wrote left handed. I do use my right handed writing occasionally though - for fun. It isn't as neat, and takes longer, but is completely legible. It does take a while, be patient.

Health Question & Answer

Yes it is. Takes a lot of practice. Interestingly, forgers teach themselves how to be ambidextrous so they can forge different signatures. However, a highly skilled graphologist would be able to detect patterns in similar writing by the same person.

Btw, a lot of creative people are lefties.Health Question & Answer

I've heard you can do it but I don't personally know anyone who has. At one point left handed children were forced to write with their right hands so that's how some people came to be ambidextrous, at least as far as writing goes. I would assume if you practiced writing it would happen eventually.Health Question & Answer

Yeah, you can build coordination. It is really hard and takes a long time but one of my friends is pretty far along with learning how to write left handed. His handwriting is getting better and better. It's pretty cool how the brain can adapt to enhance performance when it gets used more.Health Question & Answer

of course it is. I trained myself to be ambidextrous when I was little. I am right handed but I used my left hand for everything. Granted my writing wasn't AS legible as it would be if I used my right hand. I stopped doing it as much and now I cant anymore.Health Question & Answer

Practice makes perfect. I broke my right wrist and then had to teach myself to use my left hand. It is not absolutely perfect like my right hand is, but you can do it. Health Question & Answer

yes you can i did it I'm a righty and i taught myself to throw a football and baseball perfectly lefty and I'm gettin pretty good at writing leftyHealth Question & Answer
