Try Natural Family Planning (NFP). It involves a little bit of charting of your monthly cycle. NFP breeds patience and is totally drug-free! You have to follow it EXACTLY or it won't work, (ie you can only have sex during certain "safe" periods during the month). We have been using it for 8 years and it even helped us conceive when we wanted to, 7 years later. People might bad-mouth NFP or say it is archaic, but I'm telling you, if you educate yourself on this (take a local class) you will be SO happy with it. Better than homeopathic! If you have a hard time getting your OB/GYN on board, check out the website

don't you even dare think of using homeopathic birth control, i say this out of concern. that is because homeopathy is only a step above the "old wives tales" like virgins can't get pregnant on their first time.
medical birth control works by introducing hormones into your system that mimics the effects of pregnancy, preventing ovulation. the vary ideology of homeopathy is that by the time you take the "medicine" the original chemical is so diluted that there is only a small chance of that a single molecule of it will even be in the pill. the body responds to real chemicals not imaginary one. there is not a shred of scientific data supporting any of the claims about homeopathy
in short homeopathic birth control is about as effective as water is for birth control, no at all.
seriously i can't state this enough, taking homeopathic "medication" as a means of birth control, thinking it will work, and having sex, will make you just as likely to conceive as not taking taking the "medication" at all. if you don't trust real medicine than use condoms and diaphragms.

I cant think of anything other than that. Anything else is going to be hormonal.

the only one I know of is not having sex but that would be hard for a married couple. if you are done with having kids I recommend a vasectomy.Health Question & Answer
