Answers:
Homeopathy would be better than the pill, but that's really kind of superficial to what is happening.

The cysts are caused partially by estrogen dominance. The birth control pills will contribute to the estrogen dominance. So, they are definitely not what you want to do. They also come with a not so great list of side effects you don't want to deal with.

The best bet would be to have a saliva hormone test done, then see what needs to be adjusted. You can get natural progesterone creams. There has been clinical success with treating cysts with natural progesterone. You also need to remove xenoestrogens from your life - that includes anything paraben.

Check your labels for any form of paraben, phenoxyethenol, bishphenol-A. also, DO NOT heat anything in the microwave in plastic. Do not heat anything with plastic on it at all. Do not drink out of a plastic water bottle when it has been heated by the sun. Heated plastic releases estrogenic compounds. You can make your own cleaners, or use simpler ones. Google "Natural Laundry Detergent" and you should come up with recipes for laundry soap which include just pure bar soap, borax and washing soda.

Many natural items are also estrogenic - like soy and flax seed. Some people get relief by just eliminating soy from their life. Surprisingly, many health food items, including some homeopathics, also are estrogenic - including arnica :-( Chamomile tea is also out. There are lists online.

The best place to start is by looking up "estrogen dominance" and starting to read. There is much more info than I can put in a YA! answer.

EDIT: - I do know what I'm talking about. Too bad Skep Doc keeps trying to keep people from finding real info. You can find Dr. Eckhart at the Progestelle site - even e-mail with questions if you want. Don't let a nay sayer keep you from finding the info that will help. Happy recovery to you!Health Question & Answer

I think if you have questions about homeopathy you should see a naturopathic physician or a medical doctor that prescribes homeopathic medicine. The reason for going to a doctor (MD or ND) is that they can order hormone tests and see the bigger picture here.

PCOS has responded to Acupuncture, Reflexology and a number of other Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) modalities. I think you should decide if you want to use CAM as an alternative to western medicine or as an adjunct or complement to it.Health Question & Answer

Zambiti doesn't have a clue what she is talking about. Do a wiki search for PCOS. Here let me do that for you

Another good, less layman friendly site is emedicine

The simple answer to your either/or question is obviously BCP. (the real answer is a bit more complicated if you read the above links)

Homeopathy consists of nothing but placebo sugar pills, good will and high expectations. It is never the correct treatment for any real or actual medical problem, though it does a "good job" with psychosomatic, and pseudo-diseases.Health Question & Answer

I wouldn't have thought either particularly effective.
I'd say diet would be a good place to start. PCOS is rife in the western world (and increasing) which has a high calorific diet full of processed food.Health Question & Answer
