How do I get rid of a pinched nerve in my hip?!

Question: How do I get rid of a pinched nerve in my hip.?
I am not covered for chiopracter (I don't think, I can check my coverage).

also I am a single mom and don't really know alot of people of have family around... although my 9 year old could do a massage if I knew what tell her to do.

Any tips on how to fix this.? It is from carrying my one year old around on my right hip and now my left hip has a pinched nerve and is painful when I bend or pick things up.

I need a tip that I can do or a nine year old can do on my hip. Any spots to touch, pressures that I can apply.? I am using a hot water bottle already.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Lay on the floor with affected hip up..stretch out slowly. Get someone to put one hand above and over the area where the nerve is pinched, and, below..With firm pressure, have them move their hands in the opposite direction, firmly, and slowly..If they lack hand strength, they can do the same exercise on you with the soles of their feet...Remember, firmly and slowly for about five minutes per session, twice a day...You will begin to feel the nerve getting stimulated..Be patient. Good Luck..Health Question & Answer

chiropractic care is not that expensiveHealth Question & Answer

I think surgery is the only way and if you're not covered it isn't an option.
I have a sciatic nerve in the back that, when it gets aggravated sends a pain from my lower back all the way down both legs. To deal with it I exercise more and do a great deal of gentle stretching..yoga really helps as well. If you have to live with it as I do then you'll get to know your body a little better and know what movements can trigger it and how to work around it when it does act up. During the times of pain I take an anti-inflamatory like ibuprofen or acetaminophen, this helps when trying to sleep with it.
I can tell you that the pain is a lot less since I started keep ing in shape so regular exercise and keeping your weight at a decent average is key to managing this problem.

Look into chiropractors and massage therapy as well, they may have cheaper solutions than surgery. Ask your primary care doc about it.Health Question & Answer

I don't know what is causing yours. If it's from your spine a chiropractor is in order. If it is solely in your hip one of those big exercise balls might help. When I fell and broke my back, most of my weight landed on my hip. Sitting on the big ball and balancing yourself, tiny movements, works the soft connective tissues and strengthens them to keep your hip in place. Your hip joints pivot and swivel. Like the motion when balancing on the ball. If that is your problem it will help tremendously. I know the pain you're going through and I'm very sorry you're experiencing that. Hopefully something this simple can help. Good luck, sweetie.Health Question & Answer
