Question: Zicam alternative cold medicine.?
When gettin sick I use the zicam chewables but I find them really gross but I still want to get the zicam. Do they sell it in a pill capsule that you just swallow.? or is there any other medicine that you don't have to taste that works in the same way.? also I have a big family and we are goign to the annual christmas party but we almost always come home sick, any suggestions to help prevent that.?Health Question & Answer

First, zicam comes in this liquid pouch thingy that is in the shape of a spoon, it is so think that you can lick it and swallow it and never taste it, and also they have the little stick thingy that is like a q-tip, and you just rub it on your nose and it is supposed to help protect you from getting other germs. Second, use air born, you can buy it at walmart, it is a pill that you put in water and it dissolves and you drink it, it doesn't taste bad and it is supposed to prevent you from getting sick!Health Question & Answer
I had always used zicam and have had good results from it. Not sure if you have ever taken herbs before. You can take them in a capsule form. If I ever feel a possible sore throat or cold coming on I take a mix of echinacea and goldenseal. I can not speak for everyone, but for me they are wonderful. If i were in your case I would take about 2 capsules two times a day a few days before and after.Health Question & Answer
Use an alcohol based hand sanitizer frequently when in large crowds or around anyone sick, after shaking hands, after using grocery carts, etc. Zicam comes in all forms, check out their website:
