Homeopathic methods for heartburn?!

Question: Homeopathic methods for heartburn.?
I'm not a fan of taking medicine and yet I'm not a hippie nature lover, but I would like a natural way to treat this heartburn I've been experiencing. TUMS is the closest I want to get to medicine. I've never been a fan of taking medicine. I think everyone is over-prescribed and takes too many pills. (rant over)

I've cut out soda. It's only been a day, but what else can I do.? I know I can change my diet habits, but anything natural I can take to help.?

Thanks!Health Question & Answer

AAHH...I hate Tums! What a myth the conventional medical field has put out. The point (to them) of taking Tums or other antacids is to kill the acid rising in the stomach, aka heartburn. BUT we do not get heartburn from having to much acid but rather not enough!!!! Our stomachs need to be the appropriate balance of alkaline and acidty. Tums and others like it are temporary reliefs that do not solve the problem.

Dietary wise, I suggest staying away from citric/high acid foods for a while ( oranje juice, tomatoes, etc); Till you get this under control.

There are a few homeopathic remedies for heartburn, the most common being Nux Vomica (I suggest 30c 3 pellets after eating a heavy meal, repeat before bedtime or whenever you most often get heartburn, I say bedtime because that is common). Make sure you take it or any other homeopathic, with a "clean mouth". Meaning no food, drink (besides plain water), toothpaste, etc can be tasted in your mouth. Have this clean mouth 20 minutes before and after taking a remedy.
Here is another option:
What I recommend for my patients is this:
Get Organic, unfiltered (pulp on the bottom) Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
Put 2 cap-fulls in a glass of room temp water.
A bit of honey ( this is optional, but most like it for taste, plus a lot of nutritional value in honey)
Mix and drink.
I suggest doing this after eating a heavy meal and/or about twice a day.

ACV is an old folk remedy for a variety of things. Stomach issues/heartburn is the most common.

Hope this helps, and kudos to you for doing things naturally.Health Question & Answer

If you are at all overweight, just dropping a few pounds can make a world of difference.Health Question & Answer

Homeopathics may give you some temporary relief but you really need to look into changing your diet and improving your digestion if you want to cure your heartburn. Losing weight also helps. I see a lot of this in my clinic. See the link below for an example of someone who fixed their heartburn by changing their diet.Health Question & Answer

People with heartburn generally find taking aloe vera juice to be helpful, as well as papaya tablets, and a B-complex.(50mg 3x daily.)

Antacids, aspirin and ibuprofen should be avoided.

Improve digestive system functioning by increasing your consumption of raw vegetables.Health Question & Answer

try dissolving a half teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water and drinking that.
I am not certain if that will be any less harmful than tums or rolaids ( which, by the way both have calcium in them )Health Question & Answer
