Usually ibuprofen helps with oral pain better than vicodin. Take another 200 mg... you can take 800 mg at a time.. every 6 hours. If you got the prescription 600 mg than just take 1 regular ibuprofen they are 200 mg. Vicodin didnt do crap for me after getting my 4 wisdom teeth out.. 800 mg of ibuprofen is all that worked but everyone is different.Health Question & Answer
Working in Dental Surgery for many years we automatically prescribed Vicodin(synthetic codeine)invented because most people were allergic to codeine.It is only considered a Schedule II controlled substance but since kids have been abusing it (adults too)there is trepidation.It is not that strong and should be prescribed in dental surgery with an anti-inflammotory.It is prescribed for those in pain and not to get high!I have taken it for impacted 3rd molars and it was like eating candy(not strong enough for the pain I was experiencing)I am sick of druggies ruining proper pain management for the rest of us.also I didn't experience a high.You demand Vicodin from your dentist for the pain.This is ridiculous!!!Health Question & Answer

My best friend was on vicodin after she had her wisdom teeth removed and it didnt make any difference at all. she got the most comfort from icing regularly.
