The following is an educational aid to show you how someone that might hypothetically take drugs might feel about them.
EDIT: I decided my answer was way too long so here's the quick answer:
Heroin and 2C-E
Taking drugs in pill form sucks. With powder you have a lot more options about how to ingest it (intranasally, intravenously), and if it is high quality stuff it has no impurities (even neutral pill filler is bad if you want to snort or IV it). So, since essentially any drug can be made into a powder form, and likewise a pill form, I'll just tell you my favorite drugs of each class
Uppers:
1. Coke
2. MDMA
3. Meth
Downers
1. Heroin and other opiates
2. Benzos (Valium, Xanax, etc.)
Psychedelics:
1. 2C-E
2. LSD
3. DMT
4. Psilocybin Mushrooms
5. Mescaline
Dissociatives:
1. Ketamine
2. DXM
Delerients:
1. Datura
2. DPH
It's too hard to say which drug is my favorite, as it depends on mood. Of uppers and downers I guess I would pick H, and of psychedelics, dissociatives, and delerients I would pick 2C-E and perhaps K.
