well, the earlier u get, the better coz it is easier to take care of a youngster. although u get it later, it is essential that u do not burst ur blisters of pick ur scabs. u should not expose urself to the wind or confine urself in bed. u should stay in ur room and avoid meeting other people except for the ones who already have chicken pox coz once u get chicken pox, u will never get it again. u may get fevers some times but its normal. nothing to worry abt seriously although aftr ur scabs drop, u will have some scars that will go eventually.Health Question & Answer

I am a nurse, I'm 40 and never had chicken pox. As long as you get vaccinated every year you should be ok. If by some chance you still get the chicken pox, it will just be worse on you now than if you were younger, as far as the scratching , fever, etc.Health Question & Answer
