Need to know because I am planning to remove egg yolks from my diet. I don't want to miss the zinc either though.Health Question & Answer
Answers:
In the yolk. http://www.georgiaeggs.org/pages/yolk.ht... says:
"The yolk also contains more phosphorus, manganese, iron, iodine, copper, and calcium than the white, and it contains all of the zinc."
However, on the flip side, http://www.zinc.org/zinc_health.html says that there is only 1.3 mg of Zinc per 100 g of whole eggs, so that's not really all that much Zinc that you'd be missing. You'd probably be better off just taking a supplemental Zinc if you need more Zinc. Good luck!Health Question & Answer
