Burning due to head and shoulders shampoo?!
Question: Burning due to head and shoulders shampoo.?
About half an hour ago I was washing my hair with head and shoulders shampoo for the first time, when I got out of the shower my scalp started burning. I tried washing my hair with just cold water but now my face, the back of my neck, my ears, and the back of my hands are burning too. I have no idea what to do but apparently head and shoulders isn't a very good shampoo. I've had this reaction before, though not as badly, to fructus garnier shampoo a year or two ago. I blow dried my hair so its mostly dry now, but still burning. It really hurts.Health Question & Answer

You were probably just allergic, because Head and Shoulders works well for me. It's more of a stronger shampoo, since it's supposed to help get rid of dandruff. From now on, carry a little bottle of shampoo in your purse so you always have your own.Health Question & Answer
This has happened to me. Its possible you have a form of MCS multiple chemical sensitivity. These types of shampoos contain things that are toxic. You'd be better of switching to a gentle, organic shampoo.Health Question & Answer
use a more gentle soothing shampoo. :DHealth Question & Answer
