Why does my father twitch?!
Question: Why does my father twitch.?
He usually twitches in his sleep every night (everywhere that can possibly move twitches), but today he has started twitching while awake. He claims it could possibly be nerves (a lot of family problems have been happening). But I don't believe that. What could be wrong.?Health Question & Answer

There is a twitch that is common and normal for most people as they begin to drift off to sleep. It's called, "nocturnal myoclonus". It usually happens at the moment when you are just starting to fall asleep and it can be a twitch that causes your entire body to suddenly jerk. It's normal and there's nothing wrong with you if you do this.
