MRSA or Pimple? My boyfriend had it and is now a carrier...?!

Question: MRSA or Pimple.? My boyfriend had it and is now a carrier....?
My boyfriend got mrsa in the form of pimples 2 years ago and when it was surgically removed, the doctors told him he would be a carrier. He has given it to 2 people since then and recently, I have gotten strange pimples one after the other.

The first one showed up on my bum and hurt like hell. I couldn't sit without wanting to cry. 4 days into it didn't spread, but it did get bigger. My boyfriend ended up popping it for me and it went away. 5 days later, I got one on my thigh. Again, it hurt to the touch. Around the same time I got the one on my thigh one formed on the base of my bottom lip. Once again, it hurt to the touch. I had it for 3 days because I was getting tired of waiting to pop it so I squeezed some out yesterday and last night the puss began to show. My boyfriend tried to squeeze it but it felt like my lip was being ripped apart. He told me
Answers:
MRSA comes in the form of an abscess... not a pimple... and it gets bigger and harder.... you don't just pop it and it go away... you have to get antibiotics for it and have it lanced...

it could be a boil....
The symptoms of boils are red, pus-filled lumps that are tender, warm, and/or painful. A yellow or white point at the center of the lump can be seen when the boil is ready to drain or discharge pus. In a severe infection, multiple boils may develop and the patient may experience fever and swollen lymph nodes. A recurring boil is called chronic furunculosis.

In some people, itching may develop before the lumps begin to form. Boils are most often found on the back, stomach, underarms, shoulders, face, lip, eyes, nose, thighs and buttocks, but may be found elsewhere.

Sometimes boils will emit an unpleasant smell, particularly when drained or when discharge is present, due to the presence of bacteria in the discharge.

does it look like this.?

boils are highly contagious and they jump around your body like that.. the puss is what is contagious... and if you touch the puss and touch another part of your body.. that's where it will show up....Health Question & Answer

he wouldn't be a carrier of MRSA, if he was treated properly then there shouldn't be any issues with infecting others. MRSA is everywhere, it just depends on how it gets into your body. If he still has it I would say get a new doctor because his is obviously uneducated and start rounds of IV antibiotics to clear everything up. As for you, if you continue to get these cysts you need to be seen and have the drainage cultured to see what exactly the bacteria is tha is causing the cysts and possibly antibiotics for you too.Health Question & Answer
