Why is my finger green after getting my nails done?!

Question: Why is my finger green after getting my nails done.?
my the skin around my nail has developed a small green spot. it is also red and swollen and hurts. this is all after i got acrylics put on my finger nails. i came back to get it looked at and the woman claims that it was already there when i came in. she is full of it, it wasn't even green till the day after i got the nails done, i know because it hurt and i kept inspecting it. she told me it was fungus which i believe but i don't know how i should fix the problem. should i demand my money back at least, i wanted to ask but i need to know its her fault before i sound like i'm stupid.Health Question & Answer

If it was already there, there's no way she should have done your nails in the first place, so i agree, she's full of it. Take a couple pictures of your nail and the infection/fungus, and get your butt to a doctor before it gets any worse. You have every right to demand your money back, go in when it's busy and don't be afraid to get a little loud. it's way bad for business for them to have someone announcing that the salon gave you a nail fungus, so likely they'll give you what you want just to get you out of there. And then, obviously, don't go back. Find a salon that actually cleans their tools.Health Question & Answer

it hurts because they sawed too far down on your nail causing your nail to become inflamed. the reason it turned green is because there was an air bubble and water got under the nail. it looks like fungus but its not. keep nails off for a while until your nail changes back to the natural color and grow out enough to when it stops hurting because they r too thin.Health Question & Answer

If you have a fungus, you need to get the nails off. If the fungus is under the acrylic nails, then it will infect your regular nails. You need to get some medicine for nail fungus. You can get this at a drug store. Ask a pharmacist what will work best. But the longer you go without treating it, it will get worse. It also sounds like there is an infection set in. You need to get it looked at.

Acrylic nails are known for causing fungus, if the shop you went to isn't the cleanest, it will only spread from one person to the next.

If it wasn't there before, then I would demand your money back.Health Question & Answer
